Theme: Space age
This kind of a party should be done indoors.

Ask the kids to come dressed as people they think would exist in space. May be in space suits, aliens or UFO’s.
Decoration
Now that the theme is space age you have to work towards making the room where you will be having the party also look like another world. It has to be fascinating, unusual and something like nobody has ever seen before.
Have a long entrance to the room where you plan to host the party. You can do this by putting benches or tables on top of each other on both sides of the door. Cover it fully with black cloth from the three sides. It will look like a tunnel.
The walls in the room should be covered with black cloth as well. You can cut out stars from silver paper and paint the planets on a white chart paper to give it a better effect.
Take a few balls, cover them with silver and gold paper and hang them from the ceiling.
You can make your dining table the earth and lay all the dishes on it.
